Update.

  • Fixed the build of the game so it's playable. : D

Art update.

  • Some new additions to the level layout. i wanted to start putting down a level that teaches to the player to Jump, Climb, Wall slide and Wall jump along with basic movement controls. This has been slowed down by some addtional fixes in the code.

Code update.

  • Fixed wall jumping! The wall jump now raycasts the surface the player lands on to dictate which way he should be facing. this should be less cause less problems later. I also fixed how the forces applied to the player are calculated from a wall jump so when the player goes into a wall slide from a big jump, they no longer do a mega jump. I have found an additional problem i need to fix that the animation and movement scripts can't tell if you have left a wall slide, mid slide so i'm possibly going to needs to place wall slide volumes in the level which isn't ideal.

Art update.

  • The Zombie player character now has some rough skinning and rig that is working well for the animations i've been creating so far. I've posted a first pass of his run and idle animations.

Code update.

  • After a very painful evening i've managed to clean up the animation controler code and added in a much cleaner and effective climbing function, enjoy : )

Art update.

  • Intial texturing pass of the zombie player model. I'll be exploring what FX are possible next with the custom toon shader i have for unity and a lighting solution to enable as much detail as possible for the style.

Art update.

  • First draft of the Zombie player model. Next step is to finish the UV's and try the texture pipeline using Mari to create the correct look for the textures.

Art update.

  • First concept sketch of the main character. A few ideas were experimented with but i felt that this sort of character would suit the gameplay and make for some interesting animations.

Code update.

  • Working on implementing climbing functionality. Climbing works in pretagged areas at the moment (rendered with a see through red cube in game) but due to the players scale the root motion being applied is creating some errors in positioning. This should be fixed in the next update.
